There is nothing like a fresh set of strings to improve the sound and playability of a fretted instrument. Guitar Works has been a thriving music business since 1978; that means we have restrung thousands of instruments. We restring instruments effectively and efficiently while you wait or shop around! Generally, we install D'addario Professional Grade Strings made in U.S.A. We also stock over 100 different brands and gauges including single strings. A simple 6 string guitar not needing any additional repairs or adjustments costs just $20 total. That includes everything. If we are not overly booked, it can take only five minutes. For any additional or more intensive work, we can also give you an estimate on the spot. No appointment necessary. Bring your Axe in Monday-Thursday 10a-8p and Friday & Saturday 10a-6p. AND JUST A REMINDER WE HAVE OUR OWN PARKING LOT RIGHT BEHIND THE STORE. ACCESS IT THROUGH ALLEY.

"MY INSTRUMENT IS HARD TO PLAY AND HURTS MY FINGERS, BUZZING, WON'T PLAY OR STAY IN TUNE"...
More than half of our repair business is not fixing broken or damaged instruments, it is setting up instruments that either have gone out of adjustment or were never set-up and adjusted correctly in the first place. This is especially a problem today with so many instruments sold on the Internet and by big chain stores. From my 40 years experience, I can confidently state that about 90% of the fretted-instruments that come through our repair shop have not been originally set up or adjusted properly. If you think about it, that makes sense. From the factory to the wholesaler to the retailer, every one of them is in a hurry and cannot or will not take the time to do this crucial work. Customer's complaints or comments go something like: "This guitar I have won't stay in tune," or "It hurts when I play this guitar," or "This guitar sounds dead," and often "There is a strange buzzing sound in the neck" If any of these symptoms sound familiar, NO WORRIES; bring your guitar, bass, banjo or mandolin by Guitar Works anytime, no appointment necessary for a free examination and estimate. Quite often the solutions are simple and very affordable. AND you can ship it to us. We always expedite these repairs and get them back to you lightning fast. STOP STRUGGLING WITH THAT GUITAR! BRING IT BY TODAY! Oh and a reminder, we have a private parking lot right behind the store with a spot waiting for you!
